New Year, New Milestones: Inspiring Updates from Impact Network Continue!
Hello and Happy New Year!
I’m excited to connect with you and share updates about the incredible work Impact Network is doing to transform education. For those I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, I’m Katie Kerr, and I’ve been part of Impact Network for over seven years. Many of you I’ve met at galas, events, in Zambia, or through our work together. I’m honored to carry on the tradition of keeping this amazing community informed about our team and programs.
First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Reshma Patel, whose leadership has been the driving force behind so much of what we’ve achieved. I’m thrilled to continue working with Reshma in her new role as a member of our Board of Directors, where her vision and guidance will remain central to our mission.
As I step into my new role as Director of U.S. Operations, I’m joined by Jessica Brown, our new Director of U.S. Philanthropy, and our partners at PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools). Together, we’re poised to scale our impact and expand educational opportunities for children in Zambia, Uganda, and Ghana.
Here’s what inspires me as we move forward:
🌍 Expanding Our Reach: Partnering with PEAS, we will reach over 200,000 students across 376 schools in Zambia, Uganda, and Ghana. This growth is about more than just numbers—it’s about providing life-changing opportunities and equipping children with the tools they need to thrive.
👩🏫 Supporting Students Beyond Primary School: For years, we’ve dreamed of helping our students continue their education after primary school. This year, PEAS is opening a new secondary school in Eastern Province, creating a vital pathway for students to continue their education in a supportive, high-quality environment.
💡Honoring Our Roots: Impact Network has always been about innovation and collaboration. As we grow, we remain committed to our core values and the communities we serve.
